stainless cleaning
got a secondhand exhaust manifold
the stainless is tarnished
any ideas on how to clean it off?
tried sink cleaner, viniger

Stainless polishing paste and a mop wheel - Find a local metal polisher...
If you pay peanuts...

Waste of time, it will go brown again as soon as you fire up your engine!

stainless cleaning
The best way is to use pickling paste but very strong stuff, must take great care. Brush on leave 1 hour wash of with warm soapy water, use scotch
bright or scouring pads, must dry with rag, this will also clean welds up aswell. Can be obtained from welding suppliers.

Don't bother!!
Or- autosol on a polishing mop (I've used one of the little polishing pads that came with my dremel-substitute before). Works well but comes
back as soon as you fire it up....
