Cooling system
What is the best way to fill a cooling system from scratch...? I have a 2.0L Pinto with a Polo rad and Rover 200 header tank, any suggestions welcome

I usually fill from the heater hoses as they bypass the thermostat. Use hot water from the kettle, you will find that does a far better job of getting
through the engine and leave the top rad hose off till the end. If your rad is very low in relation to the engine, try jacking cars the front up so
the rads top hose is above the engine, remembering to also raise the header tank.
