ecotec distributorless ignition with megajolt?

would this be easy enough to do? or it the system used by ford and mega jolt different to the GM system?

picked up my engine on saturday, looks very nice

You can't use the existing trigger wheel on the Ecotec, you'd have to but a 36-1 trigger wheel on the crank pulley. However it's perfectly doable apart from that.

You'd also still have to source a Ford EDIS unit, and check that the specs of the GM coil pack are sufficiently similar to a Ford unit to be useable (although I've got a suspicion they are).
