Just a quick one
Hi to all ,some time back mounted the eng and gear box ,and at the time was not shore if the gear box rear mountings of my Mk indy went under the
mounting plates or on top . and have you guys replaced the rear rubber mount if so a part number if you have . Vinnie

replace it with the westfield mount. it makes a massive difference to keeping the engine and box where they should be.
you'll need to make an adaptor for it though. i burnt the rubber out of the old gearbox mount and used that.
if you want to use the standard one, make sure you use the 'bell' washer thing underneath. i put my standard one on top of the tabs

I bought the the part mentioned above although found it cheaper from Caterham.
I'd be interested to see a picture of the modified sierra mounting if you have one?

i don't have a picture to hand unfortunately.
when i say i used the original mount, that is perhaps a bit of a stretch of the truth.
i burnt out the middle then cut most of the flanges at the edges down. i welded 2 nuts onto the top of the old mount plate then used spacer tubes down
into the westfield mount to space it down to a bit lower than where the sierra one had the tail of the gearbox sat. bolts up from the bottom and
locknuts on the top.
