Bike carbs again
Hi, i have cbr600fx bike carbs, and do the Float barrels have to be level?

I have the same carbs - on the bike they were almost vertical!
Mine are going to be about 30 degrees up from horizontal - they're running OK on tickover, but I haven't tried anything more ambitious
yet.

Bike carbs seem to work at many angles, but I've got the ZZR1100 carbs on my zetec set at the same angle as on the bike.
But,
I can pop a wheelie on the R1, once on the balance point keep it up there for as long as the road allows, and it runs ok.
Yet I put ZZR carbs on a GSXR1100 and they wouldn't run properly with the chokes horizontal.

thanks, i will crank with the manifold once i get the aluminium rods, so i will hav ethe manifold ready soon.

I had my zx9 carbs angled fairly straight with the float chambers angled slightly forward and experienced fuel leeks so i had to lift them up to cure
it.
So i would seem that keeping them as level as possable or slightly increased angle would be the best way to go.
