Megasquirt question

Current plan is zetec bike carbs and MJLJ, have all the bits assembled, but, cant get the 'Throttle Bodies would be cool' idea out of my head.

Does the Megasquirt control the sparks as well as injection, or do I need the Jolt too.

hi pete, megasquirt does the spark and the fueling. you could still use megasquirt fot your bike carb set up and just use it to control the spark then if you do go to throttle bodies and injection later you already have the correct set up just alter what you want th megasquirt to do

I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

Megasquirt will run the coil direct (if you have a dizzy) or fire an EDIS unit to do wasted spark.

The later version (I believe) can do wasted spark onboard, but for the ease of it, EDIS is the way to go in my opinion.

I have Megasquirt and Megajolt running on mine.It gives more options without the hassle of moding the megasquirt ECU for extra outputs etc .If i was starting from scratch though i would go for the Edis ignition option with megasquirt as stated as i think it gives a more reliable ignition option.
