Respacing carbs

I have respaced a new set of carbs to match the bogg bros manifold, only thing i have left to do is extend the little butterfly lever thing between the outside carbs. Can i get piece of metal tig welded or should i atempt making some new ones.

I have just extended some for Tim Windmill on here i just gas welded extentions on the original lugs

I MIG-welded mine - I just clamped the pieces to a steel block and joined them up. "Before" on the right, "after" on the left (not completely tidied up when this piccy was taken)

that looks like a piece of 1-2 mm steel - shouldn't be that hard to make a new one, the oval hole would be the hardest to drill
