gsxr 1000 k1,2,3

Does the titled engine have coded keys and a hiss system ecu?

I was told to find one of these engines as they are easy to get running but just asked a question through ebay and the response was:

"i have keys and the ignition yes all nubers are intact
the keys need to be coded thou or you can get a usa ecu and use that as it dose away with the hiss system ( recomended )"

Any ideas

Thanks

isn't HISS for Honda? I'd be a bit worried if a seller couldnt get that right...

K1-K3 are all absolutely wonderful, a delight to adapt to car use, simple, great, fantastic. I love these engines, no nasty wiring problems, nothing really negative at all, just be careful with oil surge.

Call me negative, cynical, untrusting, etc., but given a response like that from any 'seller' on Ebay and I'd simply walk away. I walk away for far less doubt provocation, usually simply based on any lack of spelling or care in the description or response.

HISS = Honda Integrated Security System, perhaps as well Proton don't use it

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
