Zetec Redline

What is the normal rev limit for a silvertop 2.0lt Zetec with standard internals ? This engine has 45 Weber carbs...

I set mine to 7200rpm and it was fine at this for 6 years until i sold the car

Hahaha nope - still going strong as far as i am aware. Its new owner moved to Gibraltar though so no idea where it is now (the car in my Avatar)

Ediited as i cant spell today (but under the positive marking criteria it doesnt matter)!!

Mine's set to 7000. 3 years on, it's still fine...

I thought my rev limiter was set at 7250, but the max rpm recorded on my Acewell after tonight's drive was 7810!

I think I need to plug the laptop in and check!!

Interesting....I had my first indicator at 7200 & the red line at 7500.
