MT75 Oil type / capacity.
Hi, got rid of the sierra manual without noting the capacity and type of oil in the MT75 rwd box, looked like ATF which came out, but can someone
confirm please....
Cheers.
Pete.

From the Haynes manual:
Gear oil to Ford spec ESD-M2C 186-A (NO viscosity quoted, eg 80EP etc, unlike older gearboxes)
Which is different to the other 4 speed A, B & C type and 5 speed N type, which quote gear oil SAE 80EP and a Ford spec ending in 175-A for the N
type
Capacity 1.2 litres (2.1 pints)

Dont use ATF, there is a special oil just for the MT75, and it's called MT75. Most if not all Motor factors stock it, gives a better change than
ATF. HTH Ray
To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy
