Fiesta (99) Sump

Hey there guys

The sump on the lady's car has corroded through. I am guessing that the best thing to do would be to grab a new one rather than goto a scrappy.. am i right? Is it likely to be too much bother to pull one off a scrap car?

Thanks again

Rupert

It may be possible to get a new sump from your local body panel suppliers ?

Which engine is in the Fiesta? If it's the old bag 'o' nails HCS then the sumps are fairly cheap and available quite easily. They are £29+postage on Ebay for starters, but a local factors will probably stock them as they are a common failure.

Thanks all. Will check E-bay, local factors and the local ford breakers tomorrow. Yep it is the old 1.3. Common problem i have heard. Annoying thing is that it is being sold soon! lol. At least they will have a nice new sump in place!

Thanks again
