Plugs -white deposits -RV8

Just checked my plugs after approx 600 miles. They have a white deposit forming on them. As far as I understanding it this is caused by the plugs overheating. Do I need to weaken the mixture or alter the timing of the ignition?

Paul

If timing which way do I need to adjust it.

Ideally you want a light biscuit or grey colour. White and its too weak, richen it up. Blistered/speckled looking and its either too much advance (is it pinking?) or too hot a plug (fit a cooler range plug).

Just been thinking about it. Plugs used to be brow/grey until I changed the air filter to a larger K&N one. So now too much air flow so as above need to richen the mixture.

Thanks

Paul
