Zetec oil pressure
I have just got my silver top 2.0L Zetec running after it sitting for two year with no oil in it.
What oil pressure should I have at idle and higher revs?
It currently has 25psi at idle and 40psi at 1500rpm and above. But when I started it for the first few times it was 40psi at idle and 60psi at higher
revs.

Mine goes up to 80 psi when cold and runs around 40/50 when hot. My pressure gauge take off is in the head just above the inlet at the cam belt
end.

Sounds pretty low to me. It could be that your oil pump isnt primed with oil properly at the moment. Might be worth a search of here or the Haynes
manual on how to do this properly
