Can anyone help me ?

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone around here help me - I designing a car to be fitted with a 2ltr pinto engine and wondered if anyone knows where I can get an engineering drawing of one or preferably a CAD file (3D if possible).

All help greatly appreciated,

Cheers,

JayW

Might want to try Jim McSorley

Apart from that, that's about all I'm afraid

Hi Jay,

I'd be interested to know what you think needs to be that different such that you need to design a whole new chassis.
The height of the Pinto is an issue but there are some ways around that (like welding a extra rail on top of the 'J' rails to get an extra 25mm.
Also, moving the filler and chopping the sump.

What are you trying to achieve?

Cheers,

James

Got to confess - it's an oval racecar that I'm designing - I just happened across this forum and there seemed to be lots of people that know of stuff - so I thought I'd be cheeky and ask !

Hope you don't mind and if anyone can help I'd be very happy.

Cheers,

JayW

James is quite right, the only mods for a pinto (I have an 1800 SOHC) is that the chassis needs to be higher by 25mm which can also be achieved by making the bonnet and scuttle higher or adding an extra top rail. Looking at mine, I can't see much gain from chopping the sump 'cos the bottom of the gearbox aint much different in height.

shit happens! (but why always to me!!)
