Dellorto 40's

hey, got my twin forties today, and looking at them they are slightly different. One looks slightly newer and has DHLA 40 N on it, the other slightly older looking one has DHLA 40 F. Apart from that, the older one has a metal cap at the top and the newer one has black plastic. Looks like they were used together already but am slightly worried.

Anyone know if these will work ok together. I assume the mechanicals are identical, but will be striping them and rebuilding them to the required spec.

Anyone?

They *might* work together. Depends on if the Gods are looking after you at the moment.

When you is flat out, it wont make any difference whatsoever. But you spend *a lot* more time 'not flat out', and thats where using two unmatched carbs are usually unhappy.

Check to see if the carbs have the same amount of progression holes. If they have, you are in with a little bit of a chance...

Dont just build it.....make it!

guess I'll just have to go falt out all the time then

Will have a look then, at least I know what I'm looking for. If not, another £60

Ah well, like someone says, it never was gonna be easy
