Clutch cable return spring

Evenin......

Just fitted up the clutch cable, and there's a bit of slack on the clutch fork, which allows the pedal to droop backwards. Where would be best to put a return spring, on the fork, or the pedal? For ease of fitting, the pedal would be better, any good reason not to?

You should be able to adjust it out...

Im looking at putting a spring on mine as the light bec clutch with the quite stiff mnr pedal box needs a bit of somthing to help it
