SOLEX twin 40's
Anyone know if the Solex twin 40 carbs are any good or not ? I have been offered a pair on a X-flow manifold with short ram pipes, but am not sure as
to quality and spares situation for the carbs. They do look in good nick and I am very tempted, but do I leave well alone ?

Sorry to be miserable...
If they are c40 addhe, they stopped making them about 20 years ago, parts are unavailable and no-one stocks the jets. At least that's what I
was told last year. The carb man I phoned said don't touch them with a bargepole. I'd seen some advertised cheap, but I left them.
I'd be very happy to be proven wrong.
