40 or 45 carbs? 1.6 16v Toyota.

I have a Toyota 4age 1.6 16v engine currently on delloroto 45's I have been thinking about replacing them with 40's as my old ones are going to coat to much money to refurb.

Would I actually notice any difference with 40's on instead? Webbers or stick to delloroto ?

Any help or advice welcome please?

What size chokes are currently fitted? if they are 36 or less then you will be better using 40s. 36 is the biggest you can fit in 40s, with 45s you can go up to 40mm chokes.

Phoned the local ramblers club today, but the bloke who answered just
went on and on.
