I'm not going to post 'Oil separator, on Dellorto's?' but no doubt someone will.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

Probably talking about the an oil breather. Answer plumb the breather into a catch tank, the engine doesn't need oily vapour in the intake.
Easy to make a catch tank from a metal drinks bottle and a small K&N style filter - much cheaper than buying a bespoke one.
p.s. don't suggest leaving the vent open, it upsets the bikers (for obvious reasons).

If you go to your local pound shop you can buy an ideal catch bottle for £1. I made mine for less than £10. (locost!)

Oil Vapour catcher
Agree with the above.
However, I'd suggest attaching that hose such that it feeds into the rocker cover and then have a separate vent pipe from the rocker cover going
to the catch tank.

More Dellorto Glitches
OK got the car running but it seems that the front carb's pump mechanism is fouling on the dizzy cap/leads below. Is the best solution a side
entry cap or will this still be too tall? Is it a case of using the leads with 90 degree ends?
Also, my carbs have the central quadrant style cable set up with an adjustable linkage between the two. Ideally I'd like to get from a standard
Xflow pedal fitting (ball and socket) to a nipple at the carb end, which I guess could be a solderless screw type. Don't see the need for twin
cables.
Thanks in advance for any advice here
