type 9 codes
Hello,
i am looking for a type 9 gearbox.
i have found one and i asked the seller to give me the code written on the housing.
here is what he gave me :
F6W6A
39T-7006
859T-7A039
can anyone tell me from this number the ratio of the gearbox ?

since no one else has answered, i'll have a go! AFAIK, the ratios are standard, with just a small number having a longer first gear. This could
be total nutsack though! Usually, its the diff that varies greatly. Im sure 5 mins with google or wikipedia would help!
30 secs on google found the standard ratios on the tiger forum.

the fisrt thing to find out is if its a long or short input shaft version
the long one were used on the V6's and 2.3D's and have slightly different ratios - the short were on almost everything else
(sorry I don't have the actual shaft lenghs with me at the moment )

The long input shaft version was also used in the P100 , that had very low first gear IIRC . Easy way to tell if it is a long or short input shaft box
is to measure the bell housing from the front to the rear face's there is about 19mm difference but I can't remember what the measurements
are. Danzoman may be able to help as he had a P100 box at one time ??
