Question regarding exhaust silencers
Are certain exhaust silencers designed for certain engines etc? As in will a 3" blitz silencer from a Nissan 200 sx turbo do the same job as a
3" skunk 2 universal silencer?
The reason in asking is I currently have 1x 3" centre box and 1x 3" back box from jetex. But they are straight through cans and are way
too loud. So im thinking of keeping the centre box and installing a new 3" back box To quieten it down a bit. I have been watching the vids on
YouTube and like the sound of both of the above mentioned. I want it fairly loud but its ridiculous as it is. Almost unsilenced!

Rough rule of thumb big volume boxes take out low frequences, smaller boxes counter higher frequency end.
