Fiesta Fuel Pump?

Got meself a Fiesta plastic tank and the sender unit. It has a small pump inside but I'm wondering if this is an injection pressure pump or just a lift pump to an injection pump.

Its Mk6 2002~2005 unit. anyone know if it will power the fuel rail/injectors??

Whats the unit on the left hand side of the tank??

Is it a pump or a filter?

Its a filter for the breather, something to do with emissions and stops petrol fumes getting out...

I use a MK4 Fiesta pump as the only fuel pump in my system, and it feeds the injectors on my Puma 1.7 engine with no problems. They have a filter built into the bottom of the pump.
More info on my website. <<Link>>
