Buying an engine - what docs should I get?
So I'm picking up a Blade engine tonight. What documentation should I get with it? Should the V5 come with the engine, should I just get a copy,
would he need to keep it with the chassis?
I'll get a written receipt with engine number, will this be enough for Dvla for an engine swap, will I need the old chassis number, bike reg
etc?
Thanks

V5 should stay with the chassis.
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

I doubt he'd even want to give you a copy of the v5, just get a receipt with the engine number written on.

You'll not need the V5 or the chassis number/registration of the motorbike. A receipt for the engine will be fine........

My engine came with a receipt with details of engine type but no engine number, I'm contemplating getting them to send me the car details that
it came from but I doubt they'll even have copies.
