Zetec Baffled sump

Im just in the process of cutting down my 2 stage zetec sump to gain ground clearance.
Are baffles still required if retaining the standard allow upper half (i think its called the windage tray?)
It seems like it has plenty of 'bulk' to stop the oil moving around, but is that enough?

I didn't baffle my Blacktop sump when I chopped it and have had no oil issues. I've done a few track days as well.
