Oil breather connection? Pretty sure without going and looking that's what it is on a pinto.

In that case, vacuum outlet for distributor or servo? Don't see if being for coolant anyway..

I know nothing of these motors, but, in general:
Gotta find out what fluid goes through it.
If coolant, then it could be for a carburettor (choke/fast-idle) thermostat.
Could be an emissions thing - vacuum for fuel shutoff valves or crankcase ventilation.
Just some thoughts,
Steve, in the NLs

Its a for coolant to heat the intake manifold during warm up and cold weather operation I used that manifold style on a 105E.

yep, i agree with that. there's usually a tiny passage way out of the cylinder head, and through the flange of the manifold, i think on the
pinto its the hole in the centre of this flange

although it can most likely be blocked off. thats what i did with my x20xev
don't forget to get hose clamps on that fuel line!

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

That outlet was originally used for the heater hose, after the heater it returned to the screw in hose connector in the water pump. It's a good
idea to run a hose between the manifold and pump if you haven't got a heater, I fitted a bleeder at the highest point to help bleed the cooling
system
