induction noise back up plan

I will be doing some last weekend prep before my next track day which is next weekend.

My car has always been close to the noise limit but since last time out of have fitted a px600 sausage filter which pokes out the side of a bonnet cut.

Stationary noise test will be the same but i may get pulled for drive by. Im thinking to make up a plastic plate to cover half the filter. There should still be plenty of air able to get through and Im hoping it will cut down the noise but dont have time check.

Anyone else done quick induction noise baffles or have ideas?

There are pics in my profile that show my airfilter set up.

Thoughts please!
