Duratec Raceline Oil housing Switch
Well,,,,,,
I was hoping to be posting a first start video today, but was thwarted even attempting it by an Oil Switch, or lack of......
I have the Raceline Oil Housing on the engine, which has a different switch thread to the "standard" Oil Switch.. The thread for the
raceline housing is M12 x 1.5, not sure what the Duratec switch thread is, but i do know it is bigger
So, what are my options ?
Find a switch in M12 x 1.5 ( and hope the pressure setting suits a Duratec)
Find an adapter to step-up the thread size from M12 to whatever the Duratec switch is (with the associated thread size issues i guess)
or
anything else you guys can think of.
I would eventually be looking for a T-piece (probably) for a switch and pressure gauge sensor. Although, I need to check with Raceline on Monday,
because it looks like a bolt in the top of the housing may be a second take-off, another M12 by the looks of it.
Oh and I would really like to sort this tomorrow (Sunday) if possible

I used a T piece which had an M12 x 1.5 thread into the housing, which allowed me to insert the oil pressure guage sensor and an oil pressure switch,
which were both 1/8 NTP, so the oil pressure switch was bought with a M12 to 1/8 NPT adapter.
I used an oil pressure switch for a lotus elise as it is designed to give an earlier warning than stock
