V6 Mazda/Ford/Jaguar engines?

What are the differences? Mazda engines seem rare and relatively expensive, whereas Jaguar S and X type plentiful and cheap,£180 for a 3litre S type on the bay. Are there any differences in physical sizes between the manufacturers ( I am assuming they are all roughly the same engine?) and capacities?

They are not the same engine - the Mazda lump is a lot smaller a d lighter than the Jag which is basically a ford duratec .
I've not yet payer more than £100 for an engine , there are cheap ones out there !

Thanks Claire, I'll keep checking the bay, no great rush, just an idea if I decide to go over to the dark side, and go CEC

of the ford & jag variants, the jag has VVT so may need the stock ecu to operate, or at least a clever enough aftermarket ecu to alter the VVT.

its worh searching on here for posts by Andygtt (think that's right) as hes a Noble owner and those boys know which bits are best in the mix n match dept.
various inlet manifolds and sumps, flywheels etc etc
