john yeomans crossflow...reputation / infos ?
acutally i´m refurbishing a westfiled se. the former owner sold the car with the following info:
"1760cc, twin 40 webber carbs. engine was build by race/rally engine builder john yeomans."
as i have never heard of him, could somebody of you be so kind and bring some light into the darkness?
are those engines stamped with john´s own numbers? the number in the v5c is SA18382. i forgot to check whats stamped on the engine.

John has a very good reputation in Shropshire and has turned out some very nice engines.
He used to run Waymills garage in Whitchurch, Shropshire, but i'm not sure if he is still there or not. (had a Rolling road)
He's 'old school' and does some very nice cylinder heads aswell as engine preparation and set-up
Just checked and he is still there (mentioned on website. email address)
