Pinto Fuel Pump

I'm building (once i get rid of this cold) a Luego Velocity XT with a Pinto 2.0l & Twin Weber 40's. Has anyone got any recommendations on what fuel pump to use and any sources of one

Hi

Dont' bother with the expense of an electric pump and pressure regulator as a standard mechanical fuel pump is more than man enough to power a pair of 40 dcoe's.

Thanks

I run a pinto with 40 dcoes, and I have had to fit a fuel regulator along with a standard pump.

Not a dig but why did you have to use a regulator with a mechanical pump, when all a regulator is used for to stop the electric fuel pump delivering too much petrol?

Thanks...

I'm running a 2ltr Pinto with twin 45's and a standard mechanical fuel pump. Also using the filter king filter/regulator as the filter is great and I was under the impression that on high revs, the mechanical pump created a bit more pressure than these carbs liked? I may be wrong, but it all runs sweetly for me.

Iam not sure what make it is, just a cheapo, I have put it on because the car seemed to be throttling itself with too much juice at about 5,500rpm, and would struggle to go past 6. Now it goes to the redline (8), as it was built to!!

Cheers
