Zetec TPS Plug - De-Pin
I have extended my TPS cable a bit so it will fit on my plenum but I had to crimp it twice as I extended the cable but it looks crap, what I would
really like to do is extend the cable and then crimp on new pins for the plug but I can't de-pin the plug.
Does anyone know how the Zetec TPS plug de-pins, Ive taken the yellow cover off and thats about as far as I can get without totally mangling it?

I have a set of durite tools. They work on some but not others.
Available from Gragmay's just around the corner.
eBay Item
I've just been out and checked. The durite tool works well on the silver top plug but isn't needed for the black top.
The tool you need is a thin long pick or bradle . Pull the yellow locking clip out. Push the wire into the plug. Lift the locking tag with the tip of
the pick and pull the wire out.
Once you get the knack you won't mark the plug but lift the locking tab up to far and they snap of.
If you end up with a bulk supply of pins I would be up for buying some.
Cheers

Cheers Warren, Mine is a blacktop plug I think but be buggered if I can get the pins out. I've tried paperclips and locking wire but still no
luck. Is the locking tab on the top or the bottom of the pin?
I already have some pins that I got from Polevolt but need to invest in the crimp tool for the Superseal/econoseal pins, not cheap though
