Exhaust parts.
Anybody got some good contacts for the supply of parts to construct an exhaust manifold for a Ford 2.9i, flanges, bends, collector etc.

I am in the process of modifying the exhaust manifold to get side exit for a x-flow engine. Started of by cutting off the lower 2 into 1 section and
constructed cardboard shaped profiles to get the side exit 2 into 1; took the manifold with the cardboard profiles attached to Pipecraft in Lancing to
get the new parts made up.

Brilliant on the spot service, 45 minutes to make up the bits I needed, mandrel formed and trimmed ready for welding.
I'm not sure whether they can supply the flanges, but they can make the collectors.

I'm just about to buy about 6" of 38mm tube....... had to cut and shut a lolocost manifold to make it fit (well it did fit, just exited
the car half way up and I personally don't like that!)

I looked at buying parts from Milner Offroad, but it would have cost me 50% more, also the parts made by Pipecraft were tailor made to the correct
dimensions and angles, and they are only 30 minutes from home.

Thanks mate, Lancing is not that far from me, I live near Chichester. The only problem, as I see it is making up some type of form for them to follow,
suppose I could try to bend some 1/4" rod, and tack it together, at least that should give them the sort of radii. Not too worried about the
flanges, can always make them up myself.

I made up some card profiles held together with tape and paper clips; I will post some pictures when I get home to night.

More details as promised. The attached pdf shows the drawing of the pipe shapes in 2D, full size, dimensions for these were taken from the Milner
Offroad spec sheet. It was glued onto a piece of card and the various sections made up and fixed together to get the final pipe shape, these were then
used by Pipecraft to shape the new steel pipes.
See pictures in the photo archive, card profiles, some on the manifold and the manifold with the new sections welded on.
I also took some pictures to Pipecraft with the manifold and a tape measure in place to give them some idea of the space available.
The lower collector still needs to be shaped and welded as well as the final pipe to the silencer.
