starter help
Just mated a 2.00 pinto from a Capri to a mt75 gearbox. Modified the clutch arm to get that right and had to use the Cosworth release bearing. So far
so good. The flywheel has 135 teeth so I presume I need a 10 tooth pre engaged starter, will the normal Capri starter fit? Seems alloy bell housings
may need something different. Any help greatly appreciated as I'm almost ready and getting an itchy right foot. In the box of stuff that came
with the engine is a 9 tooth starter that I overhauled fitted and it clouts the ring gear, then I noticed that the mesh is all wrong anyway, far to
coarse for the flywheel. HELP!
