Ford 1600 crossflow

Crossflow not started for fifteen years.
Started ok but a lot of bluefish smoke coming from vented oil filler cap.
Stuck between rings stuck or simply worn engine.
If I put a quantity of diesel down each bore can I expect it to free the rings
Or is there a better freeing off liquid to use.
Compression check I thought reasonable at 160 ish across the four.
Thoughts welcome

To be honest,

I'd have stuck some diesel down at least a day or two before starting or turning over..

Do you now the history of the engine ? or just bought it ?

If you now the history, and its just been laid up for 15years, then it should be fine, especially by filling up the bores with diesel
as stuck piston rings will smoke badly

If you have just bought it, then it needs a rebuild, as its knackered! and ive been down that route before, and on this site
