Injector flow rates
Hi gents,
I'm half way through the inlet system on the project and I want to upgrade the standard injectors for some stubby ones. The merc ones are
expensive and known to be unreliable/leak. As usual google is throwing up loads of conflicting answers (sigh).
The engine is a 4-pot 2,300cc Supercharged. They are 197bhp std and its now going to be more like 250hp. At a later date it may be treated to a larger
charger to get to the 300+hp mark. What would be my best flow rate for injectors?
Also running a adjustable regulator if that helps.
TIA

I’m running Bosch 440cc injectors on a Zetec N/A putting out 221BHP and 189 ft/lb
This injector was selected and installed by emerald when they mapped the car

Here you go:
https://fuelinjectorclinic.com/flow-calculator
480 cc injectors should be good for up to 300bhp at 90% duty cycle.

Yep, I've run 280 on 440s, pushing above 300 I switched to 540s. You want to keep your DC below 80% ideally, depending on how willing you are to
rebuild engines.
