Type 9 input shaft length change
Is it possible to change the input shaft on the type 9 from short to long? it would appear the issue I had with nasty noises from the clutch is down
to the input shaft being shorter than it should be. The caterham bellhousing for the c20xe to type 9 is 170mm long, I believe this would suit a long
input shaft.
Is it possible to change them? Can anyone recommend a good company to speak too? The other option is to change the bell housing but will mean altering
the clutch position, the gearbox mounts and the gear lever position will move forward as well.

Yes it's possible to change them if you strip the box down.

if you don't want to do it yourself then try BGH:

or maybe Road & Race Transmissions (lot of folk on here have used them, although I've not dealt with them myself)
and I sure there are a few more places
