should i buy it...........2?

ok ive just got back from viewing another mr2. silver this time.

good bodywork although we can see that the rear drivers side arch has been filled showing rust buts its a good job.

anyway, i cant use the rear arch in the locost.... on to the important bit... the engine. sounds fine this time.

the engines choke doesnt seem to want to work so you keep the revs up slightly for 20 sec. i was wondering if this could have anything to do with the new filter theyve put on...... isnt the map sensor meant to go between the filter and the tvis system??? i dont think it was there... i could be wrong.

my old man reckons that the the engine was knocking, he reckons the main bearings have gone. but he has no other probs with it.

but apart from that, really smooth along the rev range and good sound from it. nice feel.

any suggestions???

Are you aiming to use just the engine from the MR2, or other parts as well? If it's just the Engine have a look at FenSport who offer warrantied engines for £300
Which model are you after?

well yes thats 300 for only the block and head, ive then got to buy allthe other parts and you can never really tell how many miles its done.

ill probably use the engine, seats and dials from the mr2. oh and the leather steering wheel.

If you get a Mk2, can I scrounge something from it for a beer? There is a black plastic louvre vent that fits at the back of the side glass. .. .
