zetec fuelling
Hi,
im considering a part finished project, which has a 2.0 zetec (unsure as to what exact model it is so far)
apparently it hasnt got an induction system, so needs either carbs or throttle bodies.
ive noticed theres a couple of complete kits available, and there doesnt seem to be much between them price wise.
anyone any recommendations in this area?
thanks
(edit) alpha seem to do a 'Gold' throttle body kit for 895 without vat. that sound about right?

The £895 kit is to re-use the factory throttle body system (i.e. you need the donor's injection system.)
If you haven't got an induction system, the full kit is £1650.
If you're looking for a budget install, get hold of a pair of twin DCOES - 40's or 45's, manifold and an ESC2 ignition module out of
an older car.

I have got a brand new factory induction kit, including jets, fuel rail throttle body. Never used, could be used with the kit. Pay for the postage and
a few pints and it's yours.
Like steve says the easiest and cheapest option is for the webers, thats the route I went but I used a weber alpha 2D ignition.

Im going to use bike carbs on my 1.8 zetec. Much cheaper than twin 40's etc. The only problem is you need to make up a manifold for them which
shouldnt be to hard.. For the ign im going to use the esc unit from escorts although i will upgrade to alpha or summit when money allows unless it
performs well in which case i wont bother.
