Ive got a set of zzr1100 throttle bodies that I intend to fit to my crossflow at some time but not managed to get around to it yet. They are 34mm bore and just require the outers moving apart by about 15mm to line up with the ports. If I get around to fitting them i shall just make a steel manifold from some 8mm strip and 40mm od pipe to suit.At present i am intending to get a megasquirt kit and build over the winter, so am collecting parts.

It was recently suggested to me that I convert my 1300 xflow to injection. At present it is standard with a Weber twin choke. Apart from smoother running (hopefully) and a greatly increased understanding of EFi, what other benefits would I gain from a conversion? As I am looking at an engine change next year I'm guessinng that if I use bike throttle bodies and Megasquirt it shouldn't be too much of a problem to transfer to the new engine.

That was also my idea, i thought that once the wiring and fuel supply is fitted then I could upgrade to a zetec or vauxhall at a later time, if i dont fit a bike engine.

Normally a properly set up injection/engine management system the engine should idle smoothly , be more responsive ,economical ( not too bothered) better cold running and hopefully have a little more power and also be programable if/ when engine is modified/changed (Zetec?) without spending a fortune on jets etc
