Clutch cable query (I know it's been asked before...)

Sorry, guys, I know this has been asked before & I have been searching through old posts for the answer but just can't find what I am looking for!

I have a 1300XFlow engine with a Type9 gearbox and Stuart Taylor floor mounted pedals. Which clutch cable is the best to use? Presumably a standard sierra item?

Also, I'm assuming the best route for the cable is the same as with the Luego floor mounted box - through the chassis rail. Does the sierra cable come with the fittings suggested in the Luego manual?

Thx for your help!
Rob.

The standard Sierra item isn't adjustable.

The 3.0 Capri is though. This is what I've used with my Type9 and floor mounted pedals. Was about £1.50 from an auto show.

HTH,
James

I agree with James,

I used the mk2 escort clutch cable first and it was too short, it made the cable snap as it was too tight to go from the pedals, out the chassis and to the box. the capri cable is a better length.

Okay, thx for the responses guys. I have found my donor Escort cable and thought that might do but it is a very tight angle. Looks like I'll be off to my local motor factor next week for a Capri item.

Cheers!
Rob.

http://www2.qha.com/catalogues/QH09ClutchCablesRHD.pdf lists the QCC1010 as being from a 1.6 P100 (Sierra pickup), and thre Moprod catalogue shows it was also used on the 1.6 & 2.0 MkIII Cortina, and the early 1.6 & 2.0 Mk IV Cortina. No mention of that part number under Capris though.
