my pipes

ok, ive got a 35mm outlet on the engine and a 32mm inlet on the radiator. My choices seem to be either a vulcoflex, the nearest fit is 32-38mm, which is 3mm too big at the engine end, or a regular convoluted rubber hose, which is 32-35, but the length isnt specified.

Id rather use the vulcoflex as its cheaper (£15 compared to 21 for the other hose), but will 3mm take up with a jubilee clip? plus i could order it today. Id have to ring them on monday if i end up getting the other hose, as i dont know the lengths. I need 450mm long.

supplier is europa if anyone is familiar with their hoses.

any ideas?

thats just the top hose, dont even ask about the mess about that the bottom hose is going to be...

See what flexible hoses Halfords do - they do a range including different size ends on a single pipe.

Cheaper than Europa as well.

You could always shim with ali?

10am-5pm

the flexible hose probably won't be on display, as it all got stuck in the parts racking in most shops a while back. just ask for what you want.

afaik, there is a 32/35 but i'm unsure what length it is. they're all about a tenner to £12.

I made my top hose out of two parts and made an alloy joiner which also incorporates the tapped hole for the temp gauge sender .I also had to do the same on the bottom hose due to different diameter hoses..

I went to a friendly breakers and removed loads of hoses from different cars and made a note of what they were from and did as Paulf did , this way if I need a replacement hose I have some idea what to use . Also manufacturers often use different sizes ends on hoses which is useful

cheers guys. Just been to halfords and bought some, settled for the 32-38 pipes in the end, i figure that if its too loose, i can stick some 35mm olives onto the pipes.
