Engine mounts - location

Feedback invited from all who have successfully fitted their engine + g/box.

A: MK live axle type chassis,
B: 1600GT X-flow + capri 4s g/box,
C: Lluego x-flow engine mounts.

A + B + C = Won't bl**dy fit!!

Existing chassis mounting holes approx 520mm apart; rubber bobbin studs approx 450mm apart. Solution appears to require 2 new holes.

Anyone else encountered this "anomaly"? What was your solution?

Dick ,

at the same point as you -are the mounts too wide for the chassis- as positioning my engine this looks like a potential problem

Hi Phil -

In my case, the new mounts' spacing is too narrow for the spacing on the chassis plates.

Still reckon drilling new holes will be necesary.
