oil pump shaft size?
Morning
Anyone happen to know what size socket fits the oil pump shaft so I can try giving it a spin with an electrical drill.
Cheers

Make sure you don't burn the drill out - mine started smoking!! Ended up using a corded drill on low mechanical speed

was running low oil pressure on start up - now she does not seem to have any pressure at all. Nothing to worry about SVA is only in 5 days

Probably a stupid question but have you checked the end oil pick-up pipe?
Where ours was shortened, the pickup pipe was toutching the Gauze on the end of the cone, instead of being furth up inside the "funnel"
shape, so the slightest of debris could block the end of the pipe, as the pickup pipes was only drawing on the diameter of the pipe rather then the
diameter of the funnel.
We also dinted the sump outwards slightly with a big socket to create a deeper part of the sump for the pick-up pipe to sit in and to make sure there
were no clearance issues.

Have you got a modified sump? you need 8-10mm clearance between pickup pipe and sump also has the pipe got a good seal to the pump if not it will
not suck the oil up the pipe
Sorry if you know this

thanks for the extra input on the the last two posts fellas. I'm aware that the pick up pipe installation could be the problem either with
clearance at sump bottom or not sealing to pump properly.
As you can imagine I'd like to remove all other options before dropping the sump as it was a bit of a mare installing with only two hands on an
engine stand (cork and rubber sealing strips keeping still) so you can imagine I'd rather not go there with the engine in the car until
I've ruled out the other options first. The
Many thanks for the input. I hope it isn't a pick up pipe/sump problem as both were modified by tiger racing so I'd hope they'd
done a proper job. Though I hadn't a clue how to test it without fitting it first. not the easiest to fit as the extra capacity makes fitting
two to three of the bolts pretty awkward!!
Thanks again tonight and the weekend I'll test out all these and if the worst comes to the worst drop the sump

fitting the sump
