Cosworth 3.92 Diffs

Hi.

I'm looking for 3.92 front and rear diffs to build up my car with a shorter transmission.

Also I want to change some rear axles to the front.

Does someone knows how I can do that?
I only heard, that it is necessary to use the outer rear diff-flanges and the inner rear axle-flanges and I have to make a new axle for the front, still by using the outer front parts.

I'll need plans, drawings, photos and of course some hopefully cheap offers for front and rear-gearboxes.

I'm also looking for a FORD-TIS CD as well.

Best regards
Gernot

hi there and welcome...

Well the only source of 3.92 front and rear diffs is a 2 litre DOHC XR4x4. All the cossies and the V6 XR4x4s had 3.62 diffs. A 2 litre XR4x4 is pretty cheap to pick up. Sorry I dont have any spares available!

As for the rest of your question, it'd help if you explained exactly what you are building/trying to do, then me and the rest of the folks here should be able to advise you better. Plus it sounds interesting too! There's no easy interchangability between front and rear axle parts of the 4x4 system if that's what you're getting at...

Hope that helps,

liam

Hi,
I have all the front end mechanics from a 2 litre DOHC XR4x4 Sierra available, as well as the MT75 gearbox and some other bits.

Can post if required (not 'box though!)

Interested?

Let me know.

Cheers

Martin
