Webers and vacume connection
Hey
i am putting double webers on my pinto engine
And now i saw that there is a tube going from my distributor to the original inlet manifold
It is the vacume advance from my ignition.
But where can in put i when i mount my double webers???
DO i need to make a point for in in the manifold by driling a hole and punt screwing a tube in it?
cheers melvin

Webber manifolds should have a water inlet in the middle and one of the runners should be tapped for vacuum to the dizzy, if you are running megajolt
with MAP then it needs all the inlet runners tapped.
Call Burton Performance for info.

I believe the problem is that you can't really find a vacuum tapping point where all the cylincers act. The solution seems to be to replace the
distributor with one that doesn't use vacuum advance.

I have a spare weber manifold for a PInto with a vac connection, U2u if interested. The one I am using has two bosses cast in one has a vac, I am
thinking of tapping the second boss to connect both to the dizzy and also using these points with a vac gauge to set the airflow, this is how they do
it on bikes!

I thought when you fit quad carbs you cant run the vac advance
It only helps low speed running anyway. Try it without for now - might be OK. I nver noticed much of a difference on mine (38DGAS). If you are worried
about it then you need dizzy with modified advance curve or mappable ignition - i fitted MJLJ.
