Dry sump pump - any ideas
Hi!
I'm bulding a locost, based on BMW, M20 Six pot engine.
The problem is - it's not only quite long, but also pretty high. I'm thinking about making it dry sump version.
The sump should be no problem for good welder, but the pump... I have seen performance dry sump pumps in various tuning shops, but the price -
it's way too high. Maybe someone has any ideas about alrenatives?
I had a crazy idea of using power steering pump as a scavange pump and original oil pump as a pressure pump. But I'm not sure about power
steering pump's productivity...

It is possible to use the standard pump as pressure pump. This is how it is often done. I bought a twin scavenge pump from pace products
