Shorter propshaft for Type 9?

I am thinking of changing from a 4 speed box to a Type 9 and would be glad if someone could tell me if the propshaft will need shortening.

Thank you very much for your help.

John

Yes most likely. I did when I completed this change recently. I can't think off the top of my head how much less was needed. I had my old prop shortened and balanced.

Splines are different on the outputs so it will need modifying anyway.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
