Cam Timming Leicester

Hi,

As titled does anyone know a mobile service or garage in the leicester nuneaton area which can do cam timming or should any garage be able to do it? Im not convinced mine is correct as i didnt measure it all propley and would quite like to get it sorted before getting my bike carbs tunned

my suggestion would be to measure it properly.

ideally you would use a dial guage but would get away with using some as crude as a chopstick with a bit of imagination to find TDC, which is the hard bit.

I did have a go a couple of times but ended up with a non starter would feel more better 2 get it done after unsucessful attemps as dont know what damage it is doing now

What ever damage it has done has already been done get a degree disc and check cam details for correct timing

2.0 ltr pinto can survive a broken cam belt with no ill effects, the pistons cannot hit the valves.

If the dots line up thats it really unless you have a vernier wheel.

Get it wrong by a tooth and the car will be extremely flat.
