Success with the starter motor

At last some success. I had bought and Edge High Torque Starter Motor as i was sick to my back teeth with problems with the ford ones. (i've had 2 and eventually built one out of the parts)

problem was that the motor fouled the chassis.

phoned the guy at cambridge motorsport and asked whether i could swap for one that fitted. he said why not take the mounting plate off the bottom move it round and redrill.

mounting plate says i, it's not holding it all together?

no it is a plate separate from the motor. and if you want we will re drill it for you.

went home last night and took the botton off (i was in my suit so i could not check 100%) mounted the base plate and offered up the motor and it would appear that the motor can be turned to fit the chassis

want to jack the car up to check but it should fit, all i have to do is carefully measure and drill.

yippee. i will have a starter motor htat will now pull the entire car down the road rather than one which will struggle with rice pudding skin.
