zetec alternator belt size

Am I right in thinking you can buy these in different sizes?

What have people gone for on their pulley wheels? Looking for a measurement of belt so i can get an alternator bracket/ tensioner for the alternator knocked up. Engines a silvertop.

Thank you muchly

As Adam said, put it all in and measure around the pulleys using something that doesn't stretch too much (length of flex). Then get to your local motor factors and get a couple around the right length.

They are numbered as well - the number gives the number of 'ribs' then the length - do a search.

Regards

Wyn

I spent a couple of hours in Halfords with a tape measure. Mine ended up 928mm but dependes on what size the pulleys are.
